Sangean has designed the Digital AM/FM Table Top Receiver to offer exceptional audio reproduction by combining a special acoustically balanced enclosure with an enhanced frequency response speaker and advanced audio circuitry. With its acoustically balanced wooden enclosure and front-firing 3-inch speaker, the Sangean WR-2 tabletop radio provides the sound and features of a living room system in a convenient cabinet that can fit in any room.

The walnut-finished wooden housing not only looks rich and elegant, but also contributes to the warmth and depth of the audio. The 7-watt amplifier and acoustic bass compensation system add to the overall quality of the sound. The advanced RF/IF electronic circuitry ensures clarity in picking up distant AM and FM stations.

In addition to its standard digital tuner, the WR-2 also offers Radio Data System (RDS) support, Enhanced Other Network (EON) traffic information, and adjustable treble and bass levels. Other features include a clock with an alarm, an auxiliary input jack for connecting devices, a recording output jack, 10 memory presets, and an infrared remote control.

Furthermore, the WR-2 has a power backup function that allows it to run for six minutes during a power failure and retain the memory preset and clock values for about an hour. Measuring at roughly 9.5 by 4.5 by 6 inches (W x H x D) and weighing 5.5 pounds, the WR-2 comes with a detachable power cord, infrared remote control, and user's manual.

The acoustically-tuned wooden cabinet, combined with the most advanced state-of-the-art electronics, allows the WR-2 to deliver incredible fidelity and sound quality. Its features include a large LCD display, Radio Data Service (RDS), clock with Humane Wake System (HWS), independently adjustable bass and treble, AUX-In jack, digital tuner, 10 memory presets, and an infrared remote control.
